Show CCC Officer Wins Captaincy Rank The promotion of First Lieutenant Lieuten-ant Charles O. Frake, Inf-Res. of 317 First Avenue, Salt Lake City, to the grade of captain, infantry reserve, January 19, has been announced an-nounced in war department orders according to officials of the Fort Douglas CCC district. Captain Frake has been on active duty with CCC since May, 1933, and has helped in the development de-velopment of the forest corps from its organization to the present time. He is the first reserve officer of-ficer on active duty with the Fort Douglas district to be promoted to the grade of captain. Captain Frake attended Rutgers college and the University of Wyoming, Wyo-ming, and has been assigned to the reserve of the 38th Infantry at Fort Dounglas since March, 1933. At the present time he is stationed with CCC Company No. 1964 at Camp Desert Branch DF-33, Mil-ford, Mil-ford, but is being transferred to take charge of the CCC camp near Moapa, Nevada. Associated with him in his new command will be Lieutenant Squires, who had an assignment with Company 1964 during its stay in the .Beaver : mountains late last summer. The I summer habitat of Captain Frake's new command is understood to be in the Teton mountains of Wyoming. |
