Items of intereat taken from the i 1 J?$P- Fil of the Milford News of ! -'-S " Fifteen years ago. this week Henry Cowman, Scout Master for the local troop of Boy Scouts, reported rhat work on a swimming pool was about complete and would be ready in a few days. The pool was located in the southwest south-west part of town. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Stfcenbock, Georere Litchfield, Otto Melcher and Mr. Kuchenmeister had gone to Fish Lake on a fishinjr trip. Mrs. J. B. Duncan had entertained enter-tained in honor of her husband's 72nd birthday. Those preesent were Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Hickman, Mrs. B. E. Hutchins and son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Kirk, Mr. and Mrs. William Davis, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Tren-holm, Tren-holm, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Harvey and Mrs. 0. E. Stevens. At a special meeting or the Mil-ford Mil-ford town board, it had been decided de-cided to put 15 ornamental lights on Main street, seven of which were to be placed in the long block on lower Main street and four in each of the two blocks immediately immediat-ely north. The lamps were to be 400 candlepower, with iron posts rather than concrete. Mr. and Mrs. James Glenn, had gone to Long Beach, California, on account of Mr. Glenn's health. Mrs. L. X". Wynaught had returned re-turned from Palo Alto, California, where she had spent the winter months. Milford had promise of entering on a period of building which H. C. Bradfield, local contractor, had lined up. He expected to start work in about ten days on some new apartments which were to consist of a ten-unit court on Mrs. Catherine Bradfield's place, site of the old livery stable. Also, there were to be six new bungalows to go up on the Gale corner on North Main street. The Sloan apartments had ibeen increased that spring by additions, the George Jefferson home was in process of remodeling and the Joseph F. Murdoeki new home was reported completed and open for inspection. |
