Show Mrs. Sadie Kuchenmeister of Compton, California, spent Memorial Me-morial day in Milford. Mrs. A. R. Hovey of Cedar City transacted business in Milford last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Mrs. Delia Kirk Dallin, a former resident of Milford, is here from Springville, visiting with relatives and friends. Young Ward Leech, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Leech, is spending several days in Beaver at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Heslington. I Mrs. F. E. Casterline and Mrs. P. W. Bradfield will represent the Milford Methodist church at the conference to be held in Salt Lake this week-end. Mrs. Wilson Moore, former resident resi-dent of Milford, was down from Salt Lake City Friday and Saturday Satur-day of last week. Wlhile here she visited at Minersville with her sister, Mrs. Wallace Outzen. Mrs. Lula Peterson and son John and Mrs. Maud Brown of Portland, Oregon, who is a sister of Mrs. Peterson and visiting here for an indefinite period, spent the Memorial Me-morial day holidays visiting relatives rela-tives and friends in Parowan. I Mrs. Faye Hickman of Cedar City spent last week-end at the home of her sister, Mrs. Gene Kirk. Miss Cerola Heslington, who is now employed in Salt Lake City, was a week-end visitor with home folks. Beverly Vincent, a student at Westminster college in Salt Lake City, is home for the summer vacation. va-cation. Clark Limb, now in the United States army, was in Milford last week for a visit with home folks and friends. Miss Delia Labrum, of Delia's Beauty parlor, spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday in Meadow and Salt Lake City. Mrs. George Jefjerson and son Tommy returned Monday from Los Angeles, where the latter underwent under-went treatment for ear trouble. Mr. and Mrs. John Killam and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Romick and two small sons, motored here from Cedar City and remained for the week-end holidays. The Reverend Donald M. Blackcock Black-cock and Mrs. Blacikstoclc left Monday morning for Salt Lake City. From there they plan to go to Salem, Oregon, where Mr. Blackstock will attend Willamette university while filling a student pastorate. " Miss Joan Taggert left Saturday Satur-day for Salt Lake City to spend several weeks with her mother and "other relatives and friends. Miss Joan has been living with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Ru-dolph Nielsen, the past few years, attending school in Milford. j Mr. and Mrs. Vance Fisher and children, Richard and Dorothy, of American Fork are spending several sev-eral days in Milford, having arrived here last Saturday. Mr. Fisher is assistant manager of the Penney store in American Fork and is now taking his vacation. Young Richard Rich-ard will remain here for the summer sum-mer with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. P. B. Fisher. r Mr. and Mrs. William Elmer of McGill, Nevada and former residents resi-dents of Milford, were week-end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Williams. Mrs. Steve Harris, accompanied by Mrs. Carl Yount and daughter, j Helen Mae Dewey, motored to j Caliente last Friday for a visit with relatives and friends. They returntri home Tuesday, having hav-ing also visited in Pioche with Mr. and Mrs. Lavon Bird. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Connell, ac. companied by Mrs. Don Workman, motored to Provo last Saturday. The Connells attended the funeral of Mrs. Frank Dearman, held in Provo on Sunday, while Mrs. Workman visited with relatives. They returned to Milford Monday. Dr. Eva M. Kennedy of Camden, Cam-den, Indiana was the guest over the week-end of Mrs. W. F. Cot-trell, Cot-trell, a cousin, leaving Tuesday morning for Long Beach, California, Cali-fornia, as part of a three-weeks vacation. She and her husband, also a practising physician, now deceased, made a similar visit to Milford in 1935. With the mothers of all Milford boys in the armed services invited to be guests of honor, the national defense committee of the American Ameri-can Legion Auxilary will give a MacAruthur Day tea Saturday afternoon, af-ternoon, June 13. The Relief Society Soci-ety room of the L. D. S. chapel will be the scene of the event and the hours are from 3 to 5 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hanney were called to Eureka Tuesday by the death of Mrs. Hanney's sister. The latter, Mrs. Eleanor Frank Drussell, 62, wife of Henry A. Drussell of Eureka, died Tuesday morning in the Payson hospital of injuries suffered Monday evening in a head-on automobile collision on the Eureka-Santaquin highway near Goshen. - A clever birth announcement has been received by Mrs. V. M. Palmer from her grandson, Horace Palmer, telling of the arrival on May 18, of an eight-pound baby girl, born to him and' his wife at a hospital in Tacoma, Washington. Mr. Palmer was formerly of Milford Mil-ford but is now in charge of the dairy farm on McNeil Island. V |
