Gorrill of Salt Lake were rejoicing over the arrival of a daughter, Beverly Ray. Mrs. Gorrill was formierly ( Miss Vera Mumford of Milford. The following officers for the Victory Rebekah lodge had been installed: Isabell Newhart, N. G.; Bertha Oottrell, V. G.; Mrs. W. J.j Wilson, secretary; and Mrs. Jack Sherwood, treasurer. i Mrs. William Cochrane had entertained to celebrate the 15th birthday of her son Willie. The guests were Olive Johnson, Dorothy Doro-thy Murdock, Mildred KUlam, Pauline VanWormer, Reba Korns, Margaret Cochrane, Frank Carter, Wallace Moore and Loyal McGee. A surprise party was given Mrs.j Charles Himstreet, the occasion being her birthday. Those pre-; sent were Mrs. Henry Hunter Mrs. Charles Glenn, Mrs. George ' Ranson, Mrs. John Hanlon, Mrs. 0. A. Steenlbock and Miss Mary Monahan. Plans for a county-wide Pioneer day celebration at Puffers lake were underway. The executive committee was composed of Jack Sherwood, Milford; John Murdock, Beaver; James Rollins, Miners-ville; Miners-ville; William Cline, Beaver; Otto Steenbock, Milford; Dave Pearce, Adamsville; H. D. Thompson, Beaver. Bea-ver. Mr. and Mrs. William MoTris of Newhouse had announced the arrival ar-rival of a 10-pound baby boy, born July 6. Miss Lee Smithson had accepted" a position in the Milford State bank. Mrs. Ursula Kesler was the new city librarian. Miss Bessie Killam, Miss Christy McLeod, Miss Ardath Johnson, the Misses Thekla, Benita and Helen James, Merrill Miller and T. Ma-chin, Ma-chin, made up a jolly crowd that had enjoyed a Sunday at the Roosevelt Radium Hot springs. Mrs. William Elmer had entertained enter-tained the Wednesday 'afternoon Bridge club with Mrs. C. C. Sloan, Mrs. Jack Theissen, Mrs. George A. Atkin, Mrs. C. E. Moore, Mrs. Eden and Mrs. J. A. McKay being present. Miss Juanita Miller had accepted accept-ed a position as timekeeper at the shops. Miss Gertrude Dewey was assisting as-sisting at the Telluride office.
