Show Mrs. Vena Wilson left Thursday morning for a few weeks vacation trip in southern California. Mr. and Mrs, George Fernley, and son George returned home Monday from a vacation trip to the Yellowstone National park ana other places of interest. Jack Kirk and Elwood Vincem were hosts at a dancing party at the high school last Friday night in, honor of Douglas Moore, who leaves soon, with his parents, for Salt Lake, where they will make their home. j . Mrs. Charlotte Smyth returned home Wednesday from a few days visit in Salt Lake and Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Vincent ana children, Beverly and Elwood. left Sunday morning for a visit in Venice and Santa Monica, California. Cali-fornia. Mrs. Sarah Gillins and granddaughter, grand-daughter, LeRue MeGinty of San Bernardino, California, arrived ir Milford Wednesday for a visit at the home of Mrs. Gillins' niece, Mrs. Joe Rickerson. They will also visit with . relatives and friends in Minersville. Dr. E. C. Underhill, dentist, returned re-turned to his home in Arcadia California, a day or so ago following follow-ing a visit here with his father, J. 'W. Underhill, and his sister, Mrs. Carl Elmer, and family. Also he had spent a few days visiting in Delta. He was acrnipanied on the trip by his wife and t)he latter's sister, Doris Johnso. I Mrs. William Cochrane was ' hostess to the Five Suit Bridge ' club at her home Monday night with Mrs. Gene Kirk receiving the club prize, Mrs. J. M. Hughes the house prize, Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen the guest prize and Mrs. Frank Kuchenmeister the consolation prize. Others present were Mrs. J. C. Smith, Mrs. George Rodgers and Mrs. J. M. William. . Mrs. Myron Lewis was hostess last Thursc'Jiy afternoon to lier bridge fljub. Those present were Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr., Mrs. George Moore, Mrs. J. H. Weston, Mrs. George Rodgers, Mrs. E. .L. Smith, Mrs. D. S. Williams and Mrs. Alvin Baker. Mrs. Moore won high points prize, Mrs. Murdock Mur-dock high honors prize and Mrs. Weston consolation prize. Interested visitors in Milford Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Winn of Preston, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ellison of Nephi. Mrs. Winn and Mrs. Ellison, sisters sis-ters of D. A. Tanner, were born and raised in Milford and took consideuable pleasure in viewing some of the old landmarks of the community, including the two-story two-story building north of the bank building, which was built by the father of the visiting women anu occupied by the family for years. Mrs. LaMar Outzen and Mrs. K. B. Coon entertained at the Outzen home Monday afternoon at a bridge luncheon in honor of Mrs. Harry Coon, who is visiting here. Those present were Mrs. Roy White sr., Mrs. Frank White, Mrs. J. C. Smith, Mrs. Merrill Edwards, Mrs. J. M. Hughes, Mrs. Antone Johnson, Mrs. Laurence Peterson Mrs. Willis Whitbeck and Mrs. George Moore. Mrs. Harry Coon received the high points prize, Mrs. Edwards the high honors prize, Mrs. Johnson the traveling prize and Mrs. Frank White the consolation prize. R. W. Acheson, popular engineer-operator at the A. T. & T. relay re-lay station, was receiving congratulations con-gratulations Saturday on the birth that morning of a beautiful eight-pound eight-pound baby girl to Mrs. Acheson at the family residence. Dr. R. R. Shannon Was in attendance and mother and babe are reported doing do-ing fine, while "the old man" is now getting somewhat back to normal and able again to talk fishing now and then. The L. S. to B. of L. F. and E; gave a handkerchief shower Monday Mon-day night for Mrs. Wilson Moore, who leaves in the near future for .Salt Lake, where the Moores will make their home. The party was held at the home of Mrs. Joe Han-lin Han-lin and bridge was enjoyed with Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Kenneth Hol-lon Hol-lon and bridge was enjoyed, with present were Mrs. Wilson Moore, Mrs. Ezra Lyman, Mrs. Barney Fotheringham, Mrs. George Moore Mrs. Faye Bradfield, Mrs. 0. R. Smith, Mrs. W. G. White, Mrs. Earl Gleason, Mrs. Heber Myers, Mrs. Glen Barnes and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Hollis. |
