Show CHRIST1ANSCIENCE "Life" is the subject of the les-sonsermon les-sonsermon to be read by the Christian Science Society in Mil-ford Mil-ford on Sunday, July 17. ' The Golden Text is: "As the Father haith life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself" (John 5: 26). Selections from the Bible include in-clude the following: "I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it: . . . That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past" (Ecclesiastes 3: 14. 15). Correlative to the selections is the following from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "Life and its faculties are not measured by calendars. The measurement of life by solar years robs youth and gives ugliness to age. The radiant sun of virtue and truth coexists with being. Except for the error of measuring and limiting all that is good and beautiful, man would enjoy more than threescore years and ten and still maintain his vigor, freshness, and promise" (p. 246). r . |
