Show Cedar City Radio Station To Open Next Thursday A display ad appearing on another an-other page of this issue of The News tells of the opening at Cedar City of the new radio station K.S U B which has been under construction con-struction at that place for some time. The evening of Thursday, June 17, is the date set and the station may be tuned in at 1310 kilocycles, just two points to the left of Salt Lake station KDYL. Harold Johnson, prominent busi- ! ness man and community worker, and Leland Perry are co-owners fit the new 'station and the studio rooms are located in El Escalante hotel. Strikes in the east have held up the arrival of equipment, causing the postponement of the I formal opening, which was originally origin-ally set for Tuesday. - Roy L. Haverson and Mrs. Beth Leigh, prominent in music circles in Cedar City, have been busy arranging ar-ranging the musical program for the opening, which will be made a public event, the auditorium of the new high school .building having hav-ing been secured for the purpose. A cordial incitation in extended to the people of all southern Utah to attend the opening, which is scheduled for 7:30 o'clock to be followed by a jamboree and ra.lio dance.
