Show Orchestra Men Buy Hanging Rock A. Kirk, Stanley Voorhees and Vance Fisher, moving spirits in the Milford dance orchesti-a, are the new owners f the Hanging Rock open-air dance pavilion in Minersville canyon. They succeed Wallace Outzen of Minersville, who met with a lot of misfortune the latter part of last season, when storm floods in that vicinity virtually vir-tually put him out of business. The Hanging Rock resort was a part of a 3G0-acre stretch of river bottom land known as the Jones-McKnight Jones-McKnight property and came into the possession of Karl S. Carlton recently by transfer from W.'W. (Scot) Tanner. Mr. Carlton retains the farm land and meadow acreage, acre-age, which extends for some two miles up and down the river. Since the transaction was completed com-pleted the fore part of this week. Mi Kirk and his associates have been busy overseeing extensive plans for rehabilitating the resort with a view to making it one of the outstanding ones in southern Utah with the opening dance to be held there this Saturday, according to handbills printed by The News. |
