A Bomber's-Eye View of City of London Here is an aerial view of a section of London's waterfront as it appears to the bombardier of a raiding plane. In the foreground are some of the piers and warehouses that stretch for miles along the Thames; across the river, magnificent public buildings and residential estates. London, heart of England, and nerve center of the British empire, has been in a continual state of alarm recently, as Hitler's air armadas swoop in from across the channel.
