Show State College Is Set For Opening Utah State Agricultural college will open for the fall quarter of the 1940-41 college year with registration on Friday and Saturday, Satur-day, September 27 and 28, it has been announced by the president's office. Registration officials have completed com-pleted the plans to provide the new and sophomore students with faculty advisers to aid in the selection se-lection of a course of study, and major professors will ibe available during the registration period for the junior and senior students. On Friday, September 27, the registration day, all students who are attending the college for the first time, including freshmen and transfer students from other institutions, in-stitutions, will register. From 8 until 9 a.m. on Friday an orientation orienta-tion meeting will be held for those new students at which time the registration procedure will be explained. ex-plained. Alphabetical schedule for the Friday registration day follows: 9 a.m., students whose last names begin with A and B; 10 a.m., C, D, E and F; 11 a.m., G, H and I; 1 p.m., J, K and L; 2 p.m., M. N. O and P; 3 p,m., Q, R and S; and 4 p.m., T, V, V, W, X, Y and Z. Students who report later than the time indicated for their respective re-spective groups may receive their registration "books at 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, when former students stu-dents return to register, the registration hours have been designated des-ignated as from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. This schedule will permit all students stu-dents and faculty members to attend at-tend the Utah Aggie-San Jose State footballl game beginning at 2:30. Dr. Arden Frandsen, chairman of the guidance and personnel committee, reports that the guid-! guid-! ance service for all students will .begin on registration day and j for those students who may de-i de-i sire it, pre-registration guidance ;will .be available from September j 1 to September 26. Dr. Frand-i Frand-i sen's committee, working in co-' co-' operation with Joseph R. Jensen and the social affairs committee j and student body officers, has arranged an interesting program jfor the two days which combines both guidance and social features. |
