Show I SLATED TODAY Friday afternoon at 4 p. m. the Milford Boy Scouts, singing the slogan President Truman chose as the keynote of the Victory Clothing Cloth-ing Collection, "What Can You Spare That They Can Wear?" will journey up and down each street in Milford to collect old clothing from the front porches of resident donors. Any cast-off clothing that is serviceable serv-iceable will be welcomed by war-weary war-weary victims of totalitarian aggression ag-gression in Europe, China, the Philippines and other war-ravaged countries, according to Jim Mun-cey, Mun-cey, Milford clothing collection chairman. Shoes should be tied securely together to-gether in pairs, Mr. Muncey said, and if boxes are available, it will be appreciated by the Boy Scouts if donors will place the clothing in boxes. If no boxes are available, it is requested that clothing bundle-be bundle-be tied with string. Greetings, notes of good cheer, etc., will be permitted for the first time, Mr. Muncey pointed out, now .hat censorship regulations hav ' been lifted. A second and final collection o: clothing will be made Saturday January 26, at 10 a. m., Mr .Muncey .Mun-cey said. |
