Show WIXLIAM F. STIRLING DIES IN SALT LAKE CITY William F. Stirling, 75, former Milford railroad engineer, died at a Salt Lake City hospital Wednesday Wednes-day of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had made his home in Salt Lake City for some time. Mr. Stirling began his career as an engineer with the Rio Grande Western railroad 45 years ago. Ha formerly was employed by the Great Northern and Salt Lake and San Pedro railroads. From 1904 until his retirement, August 31, 193S, he was employed by the Union Pacific railroad, the last 20 years of which time he lived in Milford. He was a member of Albert Pike lodge, F. & A: M., and the Brotherhood Brother-hood of Locomotive Engineers. He was a member of the Methodist church and had resided in Salt Lake City since his retirement. He was born September 1, 1870, a son of William and Elizabeth Leadman Stirling, at Ontario. Canada. Can-ada. He married Ida L. Price in Salt Lake City, January 31, 1S93. Survivors include his widow, of Salt Lake City; four daughters, Mrs. Ethelyi Campbell, Mrs. Ar-della Ar-della Doolin and Mrs. Rose Terry, nil of Salt Lake Citv, and Mrs. Ruth Haner. Val'.ejo. Calif. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. |
