Show With 'the Colors Nolan Williams, son of O. R. Williams of South Milford, is en-, joying a week's visit with relatives rela-tives and friends in Milford, being i a guest at the home of his sister, I Mrs. Dan Ferguson, while in town. J Nolan, a former star athlete and : graduate of the Milford high i school, is a seaman second class in training as an aviation mechanic, and has participated in several flights in the vicinity of the Oakland Oak-land base. Marvin Bond, who recently was ordered to report at Denver for aviation cadet training, passed pass-ed through Milford last week-end, enroute to Cedar City for schooling school-ing at the Branch Agricultural college. This is in accordance with the new plan of training for the army air forces, whereby some five months of academic training will ; be given before classification, . according to unofficial unof-ficial reports. Pf c. Houston, "Bud" Baxter, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Baxter, who was inducted into army service ser-vice a little over a year ago, is now located at Camp Bowie, Texas. This camp is located in the northwest corner of Texas and "Bud" is in charge of one of Uncle Sam's latest tank destroyers. Cadet Bombardier Vernon Beard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beard, has been transferred from the Santa Ana air base in California, Cali-fornia, to the large bombardier school at Roswell, New Mexico. |
