Show Milford Included i On Proposed New Air Line Route J ' Western Air Lines Monday filed I with the Civil Aeronautics board application for a 5955-mile net-j net-j work of feeder routes covering 81 cities and eight states. Milford will be a part of the system, being on a route which also includes Salt Lake City, Provo, Richfield, Cedar City, St. George and Las Vegas. The program contemplates daily operations each way over ten separate sep-arate units with bi-motored planes. The announcement said it probably will be some time before the application will be heard by the Civil Aeronautics board. Western Air's filing, according to Leo Dwerlkotte, executive vice president, consists of a series of feeder-pickup routes designed to tie-in all important cities adjacent to the present airline system extending ex-tending from San Diego through Los Angeles and Salt Lake City to Lethbridge. "It is too early in the picture yet," said Dwerlkotte, "to know exactly the type of aircraft equipment equip-ment to be used but it will be consistent con-sistent with the present level of air transport operation. Other cities may be added to the pattern as the demand becomes, apparent in the post-war period. "The whole airline industry is devoting its entire energies to aiding the war effort and it is impossible im-possible to suggest an exact time in the future when the economic life of each community will feel the stimulus of this airline activity," activ-ity," he advised. Western Air intends in-tends to provide this service as soon as the Civil Aeronautics board can clear away the difficulties diffi-culties of wartime operation and again devote its energy to constructive con-structive aviation development."
