Show To Stretch Meat Supply Mapping out the family's part in share-the-meat campaign is an important wartime assignment for every homemaker, the nation over. To get in step with meat sharing is patriotic, fair, and helps in the effort for Victory, say home economists eco-nomists of the United States department de-partment of Agriculture. There are dozens of ways to stretch your meat supplies. Just as a starter here is one round dozen: (1) Stuffing, for boned roasts or bony cuts; (2) Veal or beef birds, to make a savory blend of stuffing and meat; (3) Stews, to make good use of tough, cheap meat or small tender tidbits; (4) Meat pie, for a favorable and economical dish; (5) Meat loaf, a good way to use cheaper cuts; (6) Ground- beef broiled on toast; (7) A pound of sausage, that makes a tempting baked dish combined com-bined with apples and cabbage; (8) Liver, a six-star vitamin scorer scor-er that needn't be included in meat-sharing arithmetic; (9) A real meat and vegetable soup; (10) Meat turnovers, to use leftover left-over cooked meat; (11) Meat on toast, another good way to use up left-overs; and (12) Curry meat, this has an oriental flavor and likewise makes a little meat go a long way.
