Show Fisher Reelected To School Board Parley B. Fisher of South Milford, Mil-ford, veteran member of the Beaver Bea-ver county board of education, was reelected to the board last Wednesday from representative precinct No. 5, this time for a five-year term. Mr. Fisher's reelection re-election retains on the board one of the most school-minded men in the state, and the people of the entire county may be congratulated congratulat-ed on the outcome of the election. With only the name of Mr. Fisher Fish-er regularly filed for the office of board member, there was no indication indi-cation that the election would be the rather warm contest it turned out to be. But supporters of J. M. Crosby of North Creek got busy and instituted a strenuous write-in write-in campaign which brought him 72 votes to the 86 cast for Mr. Fisher. Crosby has been similarly defeated defeat-ed once or twice before by Mr. Fisher. The vote tabulation: Fisher Crosby South Milford 81 0 North Creek 1 43 Greenville 3 29 Totals 86 72 In addition to the votes listed, Morgan Griffith and A. O. Williams, Wil-liams, both of South Milford, each received one write-in vote in that voting district. t |
