Show Desert Branch CCC Last week the talkie "Stage Struck", was shown at camp together to-gether with two comedies. A . stockmen's convention was held at Desert Branch Thursday, April 6. In the evening the camp orchestra furnished a musical program pro-gram after which a talkie was shown. Lieutenant Ross Rector was married Sunday in Salt Lake City to Miss Constence Bassett of Chicago, Chi-cago, Illinois. Miss Bassett drove from Iowa, accompanied by her parents and sister. Superintendent Barrow and Foremen Curtis, Yersin and Christensen visited their families in central Utah Sunday. Lieutenant Floyd J. Tucker accompanied ac-companied the enrollees in three trucks to Milford Saturday on the regular recreation trip. The last recreation trip to Lehman Leh-man cave in Nevada was taken Sunday when 65 enrollees from Company 4763 visited the national monument. This concluded four frips wherein 240 men from North Dakota enjoyed this natural wonder. The national park service authorized the service to be extended ex-tended free of charge to the enrollees. en-rollees. The forest service expects to complete the cutting of the 120,000 cedar posts this week at the cedar spike camp. It is expected that the work project at Desert Branch station will be completed around June 1. Friday evening the talkie "Green Pastures" will he shown in the reading room of the library alt camp. The camp orchestra will give the second dance at Garrison Saturday evening. This is a six piece orchestra orches-tra and a good time is assured. |
