Morris' brother, Otto Schwab. Mrs. Rupert Ingram entertained her bridge club Tuesday evening with Mrs. George Jefferson, Mrs. Ineram and Mrs. Harry Jefferson winning the prizes. Others present pre-sent were Mrs. K. B. Coon, Mrs. Thomas Gerrard, Mrs. A. B. Gilliam. Gil-liam. Mrs. W. H. Post and Mrs. Lawrence Easton. Mrs. L. B. Waddingham returned return-ed Wednesday morning from a council of administration meeting of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, held at the summer home of Mrs. Elaine Slater in Emigration canyon, near- Salt Lake. Mrs. Waddingham is the former Utah department president while Mrs. Slater was elected re- j cently to succeed her for the coming com-ing year. Mrs. Dewey won the high points prize, Mrs. 'Mclntyre high honors prize and Mrs. Stonehocker the consolation prize. Mr. and Mrs. William Thompson, Thomp-son, their daughter Leah and son Ralph, last Sunday motored over the Beaver mountains to Circle-ville, Circle-ville, where the first three named spent the day isiting with relatives rela-tives of Mrs. Thompson. Ralph proceeded from there to Bryce canyon, where he spent the day, returning with a large number of snapshot pictures. V. Waddoups this week virtually completed remodeling the front of his Main street property, occupied occu-pied as bakery shop and state liquor store No. 44. The remodeling remodel-ing is a decided improvement to one of the principal business blocks of the town and Mr. Waddoups is to be congratulated on his public spirit and his desire to keep in step with other progressive changes in the community. Freil Jefferson, manager of the hardware department in the Jef- ferson Mercantile company store, has been stepping high and handsome hand-some since Friday of last week, when a baby son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Chester Peterson at Nevada Ne-vada City, California. Mrs. Peterson Peter-son is the former "Dolly" Jefferson, Jeffer-son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jefferson, and the latter was present to help welcome their first urandchild. Whether or not we are truing to be able to hold Fred in Milford is a question. Miss Rosalie Koch gave a shower for Miss Phyllis Whitbeck, a bride-to-be, last Friday evening. Miss Whitbeck received many beautiful and useful presents. The time was spent playing Monte Carlo whist with Mrs. Willis Whitbeck Whit-beck winning the high prize and Mrs. Ross Palmer the consolatioi? prize. Others present were Mrs. Dick Johnson, Mrs. Lawrence Easton, Eas-ton, Mrs. Monte Griffiths, .Mrs. Hal Norton, Mrs. R. R. Shannon, Mrs. 0. -C.
