Show CHRiSTIANSClENCE "Life" is the subject of the lesson-sermon to be read by the Christian Science Society in Mil-ford Mil-ford Sunday, July 16. The Golden Text is: "Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken" (Anus 5: 11). Among the verses to be read from the Bible are the following: "And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels min-strels and the people making a noise, He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when the people peo-ple were put forth, he went in, and j toik her by the hand, ami tlie maid arose" (Matthew 9: 23-25). Correlative to the verses is the following from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "To divert thoug'ht of false trusts nnd material ma-terial evidences in order that the spiritual facts of being may appear, ap-pear, this is the great attainment by means of which we shall isweep away the false and give place to the true. The great spiritual fact must be 'brought out that man is, not shall be, perfect and immortal" (p. 428). ' |
