Sponsored as an annual affair by the officers and members of the Milford Wildlife Protective association, as-sociation, this social has been growing steadily in importance as an indication of desirable cooperation coopera-tion between sportsmen and landowners land-owners in the protection and propagation pro-pagation of wildlife resources in western Beaver county, especially the pheasants. Food for the occasion oc-casion was furnished by the association, as-sociation, but the heavy end of the work of preparation and serving has been undertaken by women of South Milford, the work performed perform-ed this year by three sisters, Mlrs. Ivan MoKnight, Mrs. Parley Fisher and Mrs. Clair Gillins, having Ibeen especially outstanding with less assistance than usual from others. Serving of the "eats", buffet style, was preceded by a short but entertaining program, Minersville people helping materially in this respect. Following (rendition of one verse of the Star-Spangled Banner by the group, Stanley H. At the last meeting of the Milford Mil-ford Wildlife Protective association associa-tion it was voted to donate to the Minersville L.IXS. Ward building build-ing committee the sum of $25 out of the club treasury to help swell the funds that community is raising rais-ing toward the construction of a new chapel. This was done as a token of appreciation for wildlife protection already accorded by Minersville people and in the hope that even more cooperation will be forth-coming from the peope of that community. Attorney Cline, in concluding, explained these objectives ob-jectives as a preliminary to the presentation of the check, which was done by President Vernon. Bishop J. Delos Baker of Minersville, Miners-ville, responding in behalf of his ward, thanked the Milford sportsmen sports-men for the contribution, stating that there now was some $5000 in the building fund, which eventually will be matched from general church funds.
