Show With the Colors j Mrs. Oakley Nelson received I word last week that her husband, j who is in the armed services, had ! arrived in Dutch New Guinea the I day before Christmas. First Lieutenant John L. Grim-1 Grim-1 shaw, P-51 Mustang pilot, who recently re-cently completed a tour of duty with a fighter group of the Eighth air force in England, arrived home Thursday noon for a visit of some three weeks with relatives and friends, following which he will re, port to the redistribution center at Santa Ana, California. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence R. Grim-shaw Grim-shaw and a gradluate of Milford high school, Lieutenant' Grimshaw has been the subject of frequent mention in The News as he attained attain-ed his promotions and various ! awards. With 279 hours of combat ! flying to his credit and wearing ' the distinguished flying cross and air medal with three oak leaf i clusters, he also is credited with ; destruction of one German plane, j damage to another, both in flight, and still another on the ground. 1 I A local boy, Glen (Bud) James jr., son of Mrs. Harry Mills, sea-! sea-! man first class aboard a destroyer escort ship in Pacific service, prob. j ably has given an extra stroke to his "lucky piece," whatever it may ! be.
