This project has been under construction for a number of months and its completion will be a big help to the surrounding range land. ' ' Emory T. (Pete) Snyder's crew of men are now working on. a .project .pro-ject that was postponed last year. It is the Big Maple-Chalk Hollow road. They are now clearing brush and debris so that tractors and graders may operate on the base of the road. This road runs through the Parowan canyon and comes out near Greenville. The purpose of the road is to make some valuable range land in that sector available as well as to permit the use of truck and other equipment 'to go into that area to build some reservoirs. reser-voirs. Plans are now being made for the sowing of 10,000 acres of 's.eed where the natural vegetation has disappeared. The seed will consist con-sist of crested wheat grass, rice grass and some rye. This all serves to make the range land in this section more valuable. |
