Show MINERSVILLE Mrs. Bernice Gillins and Mrs. Lillian McKnight entertained Monday Mon-day afternoon at the Gillins home. The guests were Frieda Wood, Ad-die Ad-die Smith, Vivian Marshall, Lola English, Merle Bradfield, Helen! Gillins and Pauline Mathews. j Mr. and Mrs. Dixon Thomas of Garfield spent Tuesday here with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Roberts and children of Beaver visited relatives rela-tives here Monday. j Mrs. Mary Harris and granddaughter, grand-daughter, Janet White, have spent several days at Beaver with rela-; tives. ; Mrs. Othello Smith and family of Trona, California, are here with , relatives. Murdock and Mrs. Grant Pryor at- j tended the funeral of Mrs. Nettie! Price Thursday at Beaver. . j The 4-H Cooking club girls, i chaperoned by Mrs. Winnie Ro-1 berts, are spending a week at Puf- j fers lake. j A class of Bee Hive girls, under ' the direction of Phyllis Marshall, are spending a week at the girls' , home in the Beaver mountains. i Mr. and Mrs. Samuel White and Mrs. Edwin Smith of Beaver were in town Monday evening. j I Mrs. Ireta Aibrecht and sons, Billie, Dixon and Bruce Fothering-ham, Fothering-ham, spent the week-end at Scipio, ' where they attended a Memmott family reunion. j Exquisite in every detail was the wedding of Miss Norma Clothier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Clothier, to Lamar Corbridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Corbridge. The event took place Friday evening eve-ning at the Minersville ward chapel, followed by a reception. Bishop Charles K. Jameson officiated offi-ciated in the marriage ceremony and the bridal party stood before an improvised altar which was banked with flowers.- The bride was led to the altar on the arm of her father. Music for the wedding march was by Phyliss Marshall. The bride was lovely in a white satin gown. Her vail was caught in the front with orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet. Miss Colleen Myers, in a pink taffeta gown, was bridesmaid and Maurice Clothier, brother of the bride, was best man. The following program was presented: vocal duet, Wilma Thompson and Doris Corbridge;: reading, Blanche Pryor; violin duet, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baker; tap dance, Gwen Davis and Beulah Eyre; vocal duet, Alvaretta Robinson Robin-son and Rose Banks; jokes, Effie Marshall; vocal duet, Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Corbridge. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served, after which pieces of the wedding cake were passed to 125 guests. M |
