Mr. Harry White, former owner of the Milford Shoe Shop, was in Milford over the week-end. Mr. White has been visiting in Phoenix, Ar:7.. and heports that his health is improving. McCoy and Auftin Williams, son of Mr. Orrin R. Williams, are home from the service. McCoy is enioying a 30-day furlough after serving three years in the Hawaiian Ha-waiian Islands. He will receive his discharge in November, at which time he will have served six years in the navy. Aufton received his discharge on March 20lh. at Bangor, Wash. During his 18 months of service in the navy he was conductor on the railway. Mr. Orrin Williams is the father of four "service sons," Nolan, Lynn, McCoy aJid Auftin. I Mrs. Phyllis Ketch returned from Pleasant Grove last Sunday after visiting her mother. Mrs. Pearl Wadley, and old friends. She also attended the B. & B. club, of which she was a former member. Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Gronning spent a very enjoyable week-end in Delta and Lynndyl last week. In Delta they visited Mr. Gron-ning's Gron-ning's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Gronning, and two sisters also were down from Salt Lake, Mrs. Victoria Vic-toria Becksted and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Marsh. While in Lynndyl they stopped with Mrs. Gronning's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Vest. A brother, Samuel Vest, was also there. He had just been discharged from the navy. Miss Frieda Koch, operator at Garfield for the Union Pacific, spent Thursday and Friday of last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Koch. She returned by auto to Garfield Friday evening. Little Betty Rosalie Cook of South Milford returned to her home Monday evening after spending the week-end with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Koch of Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bower entertained en-tertained Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Eldridge at a chicken dinner last Friday evening, the occasion being a housewarming. Mr. and Mrs. Bower are now settled in their new apartment. Mrs. Luther Hardy is visiting with her son, Eldon Hardy, in Salt Lake City. Town Board Presdent Carlyle Gronning left for Salt Lake City last Wednesday, to attend the L. D. S. General Conference, and look after personal business in the capital cap-ital city. |
