Show GOVERNOR PROCLAIMS BEAl TIFICATION PLAN Through proclamation, Governor Herbert B. Maw has asked the public pub-lic of Utah, through its various county, city and community governments, gov-ernments, to enter into the statewide state-wide plan of beautification of the state as outlined by the Beautification Beautifi-cation Division of the Centennial Commission under Donald P. Lloyd, beautification chairman. The plan embraces a statewide program of clean-up, paint-up and fix-up projects so that every community com-munity can present itself at its best to Centennial visitors to the state during 1947, as well as a ' long range planning program of I improvements. The plan is being explained throughout the state to 1 the various communities by Horace J. Gunn of Richfield, beautification division manager for the Centennial Centen-nial Commssion. ! With the proclamation of Governor Gov-ernor Maw, the beautification plan will be set in motion officially. Local committees are expected to set up an agenda for their local beautification programs, local mayors may-ors or presidents of town boards to proclaim the program locally, and the citizens to set to work to carry out the local program. The plan will be carried through to its completion so that . every community will be ready to greet the influx of tourists in 1947 in the best possible manner.
