Show RAWROAD NEWS By MRS. ROMA CARLTON Phone 1G9-R I Mrs. Gladys Bird was hostess Wednesday night to eight of her club members. During the evening bridge was played with Mrs. Lora Bradfield winning the point prize, Mrs. Margaret Manion the honor prize, and Mrs. Phyllis Erickson the consolation. A delicious dessert des-sert plate was served to the following: fol-lowing: Mrs. Garnet Garfield, Mrs. Ann Lee, Mrs. Eva Banks, Mrs. Bill Palmer, Mrs. Lora Bradfield. Mrs. Margaret Manion and Mrs. Phyllis Erickson. Mrs. Margaret Lund was hostess to eight members of her club on Thursday of last week. The evening eve-ning was spent in playing pinochle, after which a dainty hot plate lunch was served to Mrs. Alma Sly, Mrs. Norma Aagard, Mrs. Noma Bradshaw, Mrs. Norma Edwards, Mrs. Vera Wate, Mrs. Gladys Bird and Mrs. Roma Carlton. High point prize was won by Mrs. Bradshaw, second high by Mrs. Edwards, and consolation by Mrs. Carlton. Mrs. O. R. Smith went to Salt Lake City on Thursday of last week, on business, returning Saturday. Satur-day. Mr. and Mrs. Faye Bradfield re-turned re-turned to Milford Saturday after spending a few days in Ely, Nev. They were accompanied to Ely by Mrs. Reva Brown, a sister of Mrs. Bradfield. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Garfield and children, Neil and Carol, returned to Milford Monday after spending a few days in Eureka and Salt Lake City, visiting relatives and friends. Lorraine Bowen of Salt Lake City is in Milford spending her spring vacation at the home of her sister, Mrs. R. A. Banks, and family. fam-ily. Neil Garfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Garfield, had the misfortune mis-fortune of cutting off the ends of two fingers of his right hand, last Tuesday, while using the electric plane at the Milford High School shop. Mrs. LeRoy Bird entertained at her home last Tuesday afternoon in honor of the ninth birth anniversary anniver-sary of her son David. During the afternoon bingo was played, with Sue Allen Manion, Earl Stonchock-er, Stonchock-er, Almy Hollis, David Griffiths and Mary Lou Gribble winning the prizes. Ice cream, cake and hot chocolate were served to 20 guests. David received many useful gifts, and an enjoyable time was had by all. |
