Show TELLURIDE TO IMPROA'E MILFORD POWER FACILITIES At its March 1 meeting, the board cf directors of Tclluride Powci company authorized the expendi ture of $150,000 for power system expansion and betterments, accord-1 ing to an announcement made by j Paul P. Ashworth, general manager j of the company. I Thi.s program recognizes the I growing importance of Southern Utah in "the economy of the s'ale, I Mr. A.shworth said, and the in-! creased recognition throughout the country of the outstanding undeveloped unde-veloped resources and opportunl- ties of this area. Mr. Ashworth j stated that the company has received re-ceived a number of inquiries from! industrial enterprises that are de- .sirous of building new plants in or j moving present plants into a more attractive environment, particularly particu-larly from the standpoint of raw materials, stable labor, and good living conditions. Active negotia-j tions are now in progress with three of such enteprises, one of which contemplates a monthly payroll pay-roll of $50,000. Among the work contemplated by the company this year are a new substation and swltchng facilities at Milford. |
