Show WATER CARNIVAL IS A BIG SUCCESS Milford's second annual water carnival, car-nival, declared to have been the best in the history of the community and one of the best in the state, according accord-ing to visitors, was held Sunday in the local swimming pool, which was built as a Lions club project anil later lat-er turned over to the municipality for operation. The affair was attended by a large and enthusastic crowd. All seemed to thoroughly enjoy every ev-ery event on the program, which was well arranged and handled by La Yar Voorhees, custodian of the jkioI, and able assistants who gave their ser- ices unhesitatingly, for which Mr. Voorhees and all others interested in the pool and in the success of such affairs as the w-.it er carnival feel the deepest appreciation. The diving and life-saving numbers, num-bers, which were given as exhibition events, and also the demonstrations of swimming strokes, helped materially materi-ally to round out the program and make it the success it proved to be and the appreciation of those in charge of the carnival is likewise extended ex-tended to these participants.
