Show BLACKHORSE MINE NEAR BAKER SOLD Sale of the Blaekhorse gold mine near Baker was announced this week by B. H. Robison and John Popish, original locators, who disposed . of their interests to a Salt Lake City' corporation which is operating other mines at Goldfield and in Death valley. The price was not named. Robinson and Popish located the claim 23 years ago and have worked i at its development since, proving up,' it is said, a 28-foot ore body in which-is which-is a vein of high grade 30 inches wide. This average $80 per ton, with all values in gold, on all ore yet taken out, according to reports. A shipment of several hundred pounds is expected to be made to the Step-! Step-! toe Valley m511 north of Campbell's I ranch Friday and Saturday. The Blaekhorse mine is about: I seven miles west of the recent sen- sational silver strike made on Silveri creek, and is across the mountain I from Osceola, famous old gold placer! camp. |
