Show Two Pairs of Twins Born At Minersville Neither the predictions of Democratic Demo-cratic prophets nor the tremendous way in which they were carried out in the election seem to have had any effect on the distinctly non-new deal policy of Minersville parents in regard re-gard to the increase in the girl crop in that locality. On Monday, November 5, the day before election, twin girls were born to Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Thompson Thomp-son and six days later, on Sunday November 11, another pair of girls made their appearance at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Goodwin. Good-win. Dr. R. R. Shannon officiated on both occasions and mothers and daughters are doing nicely As to the fathers, it is really something of j a puzzle as to whether they or Dr. Shannon are more proud of their happy accomplishments. At any rate, we have an idea this twin-baby reputation our genial new doctor is acquiring will lead some of his future local patients to look a bit askance when he comes up the steps. |
