Show ; Meet In Interests Of Grazing District Milford has been the center, during dur-ing the week, of extensive activities connected with water development projects and other matters connected with the assumption of control of the public domain areas by the department depart-ment of the interior under. provisions of the Taylor act passed by the last session of congress. Associated with the federal officers of-ficers in the activities . of the past week have been F. D. Williams of Minersville, J. P. Barton of Beaver and Walter James of Black Rock, all members of the western Utah advis-oiy advis-oiy committee appointed at a meeting meet-ing of stockmen held recently' in Salt i Lake, . together with other stockmen, wellknown in Milford, including Tom Sevy of Panguitch and S. M. Jorgen-sen Jorgen-sen of Salina, president of the Utah Woolgrowers association. -. With, .some 63 wells originally projected pro-jected in Wes,tern Utah, reduced budget allowances have forced a cut to 42, it. is understood, and part of the deliberations of those gathered here were concerned with the location of the portion of these wells assigned to this section. . . o |
