Show Few Vote Change s By Official Canvass The official canvass of the vote cast at the general election November 6 was made Tuesday at a special meeting meet-ing of the board of county commis-sioneers, commis-sioneers, but the canvass developed only minor changes in the unofficial vote announced last week and effected ef-fected no change in the setup of elected officials. James H. Rollins, Republican candidate can-didate for assessor, picked up one vote in Beaver district No. 2, lost ten in Milford; No. 2, but gained ten in Minersville, making a net gain for him of one vote by the official canvass. can-vass. The majority by which Frank D. Low was reelected as state repre- tentative over his Republican oppon-I oppon-I ent, Clarke G. Murdock, was increas- ed from 16 to 31 votes through a loss j by Murdock of ten votes in Milford I No. 1 district and a loss of an addi-1 addi-1 tional five votes in Minersville. j John Fotheringham was elected Justice of the peace at Minersville ! with a total of 157 votes while Grant Pryor was elected constable by 153 j votes. Winning candidates at Bea-' Bea-' ver for these two officers were W. j S. Tolton, justice, and Burton Gillies, I constable, both Democrats, the for- mer winning over Frank Harris by :269 majority. |
