Show j Pasadena Bulldog i Band Coming For Concert On July 6 The Bulldog band of Pasadena Junior college, en route home by special L'nion Pacific train from the Century of Progress exposition in Chicago, will appear in concert in Milford the evening of Thursday Jul) (i, under the auspices of the local l.ioi s club. This band has the distinction of being the official Tournament of Roses band which for two years has led the famous Rose Tournament parade held in Pasadena, California, j on New Years day. j The program is unique in that they present well known symphonic selections se-lections especially arranged for Ibis 100-piece band. For the lighter part of the program meddlies of college tunes, familiar folk tunes, and original origi-nal )opular themes have been arranged arrang-ed by members of the band themselves. them-selves. Such novelties as a puppet show, marimba trio, solos by the interesting glockenspiel, and a musical interpretation interpre-tation of a train by the trombone trio add interest to the program. A male chorus of 24 voices will present several numbers. Last year the band made a weeks concert tour by bus during spring vacation and out-standing among the programs of the tour were concerts given in the tabernacle at Salt Lake and a concert given at Beaver the latter of which was thoroughly enjoyed by many local people who made the trip to the county seat especially es-pecially for the occasion. The members of the band will be taken care of by private families for the most part, citizens of the town being asked to furnish supper and breakfast and a nights lodging for as many of the band members as possible. |
