Show FOR CLARITY and forcefulness, the speech delivered here by Governor Geo. H. Dern surpasses by far the one made here by Wattis. In fact, Wattis, in his remarks, could not hold a candle to Dern when it comes to bringing out potent facts before a group of voters. Wattis closed his speech here with the admonition: 'When you go to vote, let your conscience con-science be your guide, but, be sure it guides you Republican.' Such a remark re-mark would be considered pure asinin-ity asinin-ity on the part of the candidate of any party were it not for Wattis' proven executive and business ability and for the fact that he is admittedly not a good public speaker. |
