Show AUXILIARY HOLDS i SOCIAL MEETING j THURSDAY" NIGHT i ! The five dollar prize donated by Low Williams for the best float in the Forty Niners Parade was presented to the American Legion Auxiliary at the social meeting of that organization held Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Edith Grimshaw. During the evening new members were initiated into the organization, among them, Mrs. Aleen Osborne, Miss Veronica Davis, Mrs. Lois Wad-dingham, Wad-dingham, Mrs. Faye Davidson, Mrs. Genieve Mitchell, Mrs. Caroline Joest, and Mrs. Alba Gillins. After initiation ceremonies, bridge was played, Mrs. Ida Hollingsheail winning first prize, Mrs. Genieve Mitchell, Mit-chell, consolation. Joint hostesses for the affair were: Mrs. Faye Davidson, Mrs. Edith Grimshaw, Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. Ruth Fortie, Mrs. Ardith Outzen, and Mrs. Blanche Bowman. A number of Minersville members attended, some of whom were: Mrs. Alba Gillins, Mrs. Alice McKnight, Mrs. Rosella Eyre, Mrs. Aletha Gillins Gil-lins and Mrs. Ida Hollingshead. In all there were thirty-two members mem-bers present. |
