A. and I S. L. Railroad; and I ! WHEREAS, we recognize that the L. A. and S. L. I Railroad's payroll has for many years, and still is, the controlling I ! financial factor in support of the City of Milford, and likewise the taxes of said Railroad are the main factor in building and main- Itaining the public highways in the State of Utah. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the members of I ! Lodge No. 439 of the Brotherhood of Locomative Fiiemen and Knginemen, residents and tax payers of the City of Milford and County of Beaver, do hereby resolve that we will in the future patronize such merchants of the City of Milford as we find to be patronizing the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad, which is the source of our empolymcnt, and upon which we are dependent for the opportunity of earning our livelihood and maintaining our homes in the City of Milford; and I BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution . be sent to the Divisions and Lodges of our sister Organizations I I located at Milford, Utah, viz., the Order of Railroad Conductors, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainment, Order of Railway Telegraph- I ers, and Brtherhood of Locomotive Engineers, together with an in- Ivitation to attend a joint meeting of these five organizations at I some near date to be designated by the President of our Lodge, for I I the purpose of further considering this all important question, and I appointing a joint committee to secure for our members the necess- I Iary information as to which of the Milford merchants are patroniz- . ing the Railroads upon which we are employed.
