Show CONSIDERS PROJECT AS NEW HOMESITE DELTA MAN CASTS SPECULATIVE EYE ON SOUTH MILFORD J. W. Hall, of Delta, was in Milford Tuesday and Wednesday with view of looking over the-farm land in this vicinitiy. Mr. Hall has been farming for several years near Delta and has been particularly interested in the seed end of the business. The last two years, Mr. Hall said, have brought bad luck to seed growers in the upper valley, with early frost cutting down their production in 1927 and drought and high winds ruining their crop this year. An abundance of alfalfa hay was raised up there this year but many farmers, Mr. Hall particularly, did not bother to try to thresh their j seed crop. If the outlook here looks more favorable, fav-orable, Mr. Hall stated that he might dispose of his acreage and home near Delta and move here. As he has a family of five children, he is also looking over the educational facilities facili-ties which his children might enjoy m this community. Reports on our project farms have been uniformly encouraging up around Delta, Mr. Hall said. |
