Show PRIZE WINNERS ARE ANNOUNCED AT H.S. NEWS WTLL PUBLISH SEVEN BEST ESSAYS Mrs. Lucile Raines, of the Milford Business and Professional Women's Club, presented at that high school auditorium as part of the Commencement Commence-ment exercises, the prizes offered by the club for the best, winners. First prize was awarded Wallace Moore, a member of the graduating class, who wrote on the subject, "Modern 1 I Education." Margaret Tarbet, a r , hman, won second prize with her essay, "The Spirit of Education." The prizes were five dollars and two dollars dol-lars and a half respectively. The B. P. W. club of Milford have had instructions from national head- , quarters to help in every way along educational lines, especially in high i school work. Therefore, they offered j prizes for the two best essays sub- mit.ted at the close of the school year. The essays were numbered with no names given, and a committee of citizens was selerted to chose the best. The committee was composed of Sam Cline, Mrs. A. J. Atkin, and Mrs. La Mar Outzen. The prize essays are being published publish-ed in this issue of the News.
