Show J County: News ' - I FRISCO - ' 1 ! : Mrs. K. G. Link received the sad news Saturday morning that her sister-in-law of Denver had died and she left Saturday for Denver to attend the funeral. Mrs. Roy Petty is spending the holidays holi-days in Salt Lake. Eight carloads of ore are being shipped ship-ped from the mine this week. Mrs. Harold Baxter is spending a few days with Mr. : Baxter's : family Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Baxter of Milford. Mrs. Alice Jones1 went to Pleasant Grave for the holidays. K. G. Link left Tuesday evening for Salt Lake City. The mine shut down Tuesday night for Christmas it will resume work Monday morning, December 29th. Ten men were layed off at the mine Monday night. . Guite a number of Frisco people are' leaving for different parts of the state for the Chritsmas holidays. Floyd Ross and wife went to Joseph City for the hollidays. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Hasiam have gone to Cedar City. Henry Dagelbeck left Tuesday to visit his family at Lehi, Utah. LaVern Davis and Henry Schroder motored to Salt Lake for the holidays. MINERSVILLE Alvin .H. Baker of Circleville spent the first part of the week here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Baker. Miss Bertha Pryor who is attending college at Cedar City is here to spend the Christmas holidays with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Nolder. Niles Binns of American Fork, visited vis-ited friends here Friday. Evan Seegmiller of Richfield is here with friends. The Behelia Bee hive girls will give a children's dance Thursday afternoon December 25. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Beaumont and children of Beaver are her at th Randall Ran-dall Banks home. Mrs. Fred Watts of Kanosh is here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Carter. . . Mr. and Mrs. Floyd B. Wood are the proud parents of a son born Sunday, Sun-day, December 21. Monday evening students of . the grade school gave the Cantata "On Santa's Hill." Wednesday evening a community Christmas tree was given here, each child was presented a bag of candy by Santa Claus. Wallace Osborne and Ambrose Dal-ton Dal-ton of Cedar City are spending the Christmas holidays here. ADAMSVILLE 4 Jess Baldwin and wife of Berkeley, California were here for a visit with relatives last week. Lamar Hodges of Beaver met with a painful accident Saturday while cutting cut-ting wood in the hills west of Adams-ville. Adams-ville. It seems that when Mr. Hodges was trimming trees he missed his aim with the ax and struck his left foot, cutting badly his first and second toes. Dr. Hopkins is earring for the wounded wound-ed foot. Syde Manning and wife of Milford were visitors here last week. The relief society conference was held here last Sunday. Members of the society from Beaver were in attendance. at-tendance. Sister Neils Jensen gave a very interesting report of the Relief Society conference held in Salt Lake City. Others who were present gave instructive remarks. Mrs. Ruben Griffiths and Mrs. Bessie Bes-sie Smith motored to Salt Lake City during the week end, where they did some Christmas shopping returning Sunday. Richard Heslington motored to Shelley, Idaho to spend the Christmas holidays with his sister, Mrs. Morrell Hunter and family. Cecil Evans is home with his parents par-ents for the Christmas holidays. Mrs. Margaret Pearce has gone to Provo where she will spend the holidays holi-days with relatives and friends. |
