Show RAILROAD PROPERTY THREATENED BY FIRE Fire threatened the building in which sawdust was stored in the Union Un-ion Pacific yards Friday morning at nine o'clock. Ray Beck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Beck seeing the fire notified D. M. Carroll, agent and Spencer Show, road master's clerk. Carroll turned in the alarm for the town department and with the help of Sehow got out the Union Pacific equipment and had the fire extinquish-ed extinquish-ed before the town fire truck could reach the building. The blaze occurred in a small building near the " ice ' house. The building was used for storing sawdust with which the ice is packed and spontaneous spon-taneous combustion was probably the cause of the fire. n |
