Show SOCIETY , Mrs. Al Kirk Hostess L Mrs. Al Kirk entertained her bridge club Thursday night. The prizes were won by Mrs. Frank Farmer, 1st, and Mrs. Rue Neilson, second. A dainty lunch was served to Mrs. Rue Nelson, Mrs. Sam Hickman, Mrs. Jack Thiessen, Mrs. Spencer Schow, Mrs. Kimmel Coon, Mrs. Frank Farmer, Farm-er, Mrs. Alvin Baker and Mrs. Gene: Kirk. Entertains Bridge Club Mrs. Jack Thiessen was hostess at a bridge party Wednesday evening. The prize for points was won by Mrs. Gene Kirk. Refreshments were served serv-ed to the following: Mesdames J. C. Weston, H. F. Chanslor, L. Wadding-ham, Wadding-ham, N. S. Schow, Gene Kirk, Frank Farmer, Win Broyles and W. Rodgers. Surprised on Birthday Sam Cline was agreably surprised at a chicken supper on Friday the 13th by a number of his friends, the occasion occas-ion being Mr. Cline's birthday. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Lewis, Dr. and Mrs. C. R. Parrish, Mr. and Mrs. J. R Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. George Fernley, Mr. and Mrs. Al Cline, Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferson, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kinney, Mrs. Erma Gillies, Harold Cline, and the guest of honor, Sam Cline. Misses Murdock and Levi Hostess The J. R. Murdock home was nhe scene of a pleasant card party, Fri day evening, July l.j, when miss uvrv-, thy Murdock and Miss Phyllis Levi entertained a number of their friends. Michigan was the game of the even-. ing, prizes being won by Miss Bessie Killam for high score; and Miss Jayne j Sloan, consolation. Dainty refresh- j ments were served to the following: guests: Mrs. Margaret Williams,: Bessie Killam. Dessie Gray, Mildred, Killam, Ann Nebeker. Lola Morris, j Olive Johnson, Hannora Hutchins, Jayne Sloan, Betty Murdock, Dorothy Levi, Elma Hickman, Verna Bird, and Mrs. T. W. Campbell. Cochrane's Entertain at Dinner Mr. and Mrs. William Cochrane entertained en-tertained at dinner Sunday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stirling, who , are leaving soon to make their home in Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crandell and two children, of Long Beach, California. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. James Boyter, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Fernley and son, James. |
