Show MAYOR OF HUNTINGTON IS STRUCK BY CAR Monday last Peter E. Johnson, president presi-dent of" the Huntington town board, was quite severly injured when he was struck bv a hit and run motorist on the road between Lawrence and his home town. He, in company with John Y. Jensen, had gone to the Johnson John-son ranch near Lawrence and secured a load of hay. They were returning when one of the tires on the wagon became loosened. They were replacing replac-ing this when the car passed. Johnson John-son tried to get out of the way, but was almost directly in the path of the machine when struck. He was ! knocked unconscious and had a number num-ber of fractured ribs nad internal injuries. in-juries.
