Show SERVICES HELD FOR J. EDWIN PETERSON Friends of Ed Peterson gathered from all parst of the state to attend his funeral held at Tooele from the L. D. S. East Ward Chapel at two o'clock Sunday afternoon. A wealth of flowers was sent by those who were unable to attend as a mute testimony of their regret at the loss of a friend and of their sympathy sym-pathy for his bereaved family. The services were opened with, "Some time we'll understand," sung by the choir. The bishop of the north ward chapel of TooeTe gave the invocation invo-cation which was followed by a solo, "I'm a Pilgrim." Dr. McGowans of Tooele then spoke. A solo, "Face to Face" was sung, and Senator George Jefferson of Milford, a life long friend of Mr. Peterson, spoke. His talk was followed by a tribute from Bishop E. H. Bird of Milford. The choir sang, "Abide with Me" and services were closed by a bendiction by the bishop of the Tooele south ward. Among the Milford people who traveled up to Tooele to be present at the services were Mrs. Charles Sportsman, Sports-man, J. C. Jeffers, S. W. Stoker, Wil-liard Wil-liard Nichols, George Jefferson and Bishop E. H. Bird. Mrs. Ursula Smithson Kesler of Stocton, and Emma Em-ma Edwards of Salt Lake were also ( present. |
