Show THE POOL IS PROTECTED Persons with skin infections, contagious diseases or venereal diseases should not attempt to enter the Lions swimming pool. The attendant has been instructed to deny admittance to such and he has carefully observed his instructions. Those so unfortunate as to be suffering from disease should be sufficiently generous as not to wish to spread it to their healthy neighbor or their neighbor's children. If they are of so miserable a caliber thjat they do not care if they pass their undlean affliction to the healthy, and attempt to enter the pool, they will either be turned away by the attendant, forcing themselves and him into an embarrassing position, or if they should persist, they are liable to prosecution at the hands of the local authorities. The ordinance covering the case reads: . Section 2. Disease and intoxication. No intoxicated person, or one afflicted with any infectious or contagious disease, shall use or be permitted to use any such swimming pool or tank. s Section 7. Violation. Penalty. Any persons violating any of thq' provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by fine of not less .-i than five dollars and more than fifty dollars, or by imprisonment in the town jail for not more than thirty days. |
