Show MILFORD LOSES TO BEAVER IN SUNDAY BASE BALL GAME A thoroughly beaten Milford base ball team walked off the Beaver diamond dia-mond Sunday afternoon with a 5 to 21 defeat chalked up against them and the scathing memory of the smooth, accurate play of the Beaver nine well implanted in their minds. J The first inning was a fairly accurate accur-ate picture of the entire game. Shadow Sha-dow White went to bat to face the pitching of Huntington and popptd a fly that was promptly snagged. Turner Tur-ner followed him and hit out. Then Beaver went to bat with Coon pitching pitch-ing and they collected two hits, two runs and six of them got to" bat. After that it was "ring around the rosie" with Milford playing' Rosie Beaver capered around the bases until pitcher after pitcher got dizy watching watch-ing them and fell out of the game. Coon, Coleman, Horton and Liver-good Liver-good all appeared in the box at various var-ious times to have their balls hit all over the field. Out of the melee, Milford collected five runs. In the third, Done got on first through an error and Coon's hit brought him in. In the fifth Done came through .with a home run and heartened up his discouraged breth-ern. breth-ern. In the sixth, Shadow White was walked to first and while his team mates flew out and grounded out somehow managed to ooze over the home plate.
