Show EARLY SETTLER CALLED BY DEATH i After being an invalid the past four years, D. R. Roper passed away quietly quiet-ly at his home last Saturday morning at the age of 72. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Miss Mary Roper, of Milford and Mrs. W. E. Banning, of Los Angeles, and two sons. Prayer was offered at the home by Rev. Homer E. Root and the remains re-mains were taken by Mrs. Roper and her daughters to Manhattan, Kansas where they were met by the sons, and the funeral held Tuesday. Mr. Roper came to Milford about nineteen years ago, being one of the early settlers on the project. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World. |
