Show J. B. White, of Byrl spent Saturday Satur-day and Sunday in Milford. Mart Barton of Beaver was in Milford last week. August Nichols was a Milford visitor vis-itor last week. Harry Smurthwaite is leaving the last of the week for Salt Lake to enter en-ter school. The members of the Chiquita Club entertained at a shower for Miss Lola Morris Thursday, at the home of Irma Fotheringham. Twenty guests were present. The bride received re-ceived many beautiful gifts. Bridge was played and a tasty lunch was served. Points were won by Mr9. i Stanley Voorhees; honors, Mrs. Lloyd j Kohler. ! There were 5 per cent fewer cattle j on feed in the corn-belt states on 1 August 1st this year than a year ' ago; and the proportion under 900 i pounds weight is much larger than ' last year. This means they will eith- er be longer getting to market or less ' beef will get there.
