Show GIRLS MAKE SUCCESS OF SUMMER VENTURE The "Powder House Pony Camp," opened a big attraction and which proved a big attraction to tourists, 83 well as being a paradise for residents of the valley during the heated months, was closed the first of September Sep-tember by its operators, Miss Phyllis Jorgensen and Miss Iris Thorpe, and the two have gone to Salt Lake where they have been engaged as school teachers during the school term. While the camp was only established es-tablished and open for about three months ,the owners enjoyed much patronage pa-tronage ,and the resort 10,300 feet above sea level proved a drawing card soon after the opening. The young operators featured "sheep- herders" dinners and many special parties traveled the Lions Trail to the camp to enjoy the appetizing meals. Before leaving for the north, Misses Jorgensen and Thorpe announced an-nounced that the resort would again be opened next season, and likely on a more extensive plan. Salina Sun. |
