Show SUSANNAH CAMP OF D. U. P. ENTERTAINS Monday, September 12, the Susannah Susan-nah Camp of D. U. P. of Minersville sponsored a corn roast and watermelon water-melon bust for all camps in the county coun-ty under the direction of Daughter Laura Corbridge. The camps gathered gath-ered at Hanging Rock in the afternoon. after-noon. The sons being invited showed show-ed their gratitude by roasting- the corn. . (The county officers hereby elect el-ect them corn roasters for the next two years) Beaver camps furnished sandwiches and cheese. The following program was rendered rend-ered by the Susannah Camp. Congregational singing, "O' Ye Mountains High;" prayer, county chaplin, Daughter, Alice G. White; greeting, Daughter Laura Corbridge; song, Ladies Chorus; reading, Nona Marshall; remarks, Daughter Geneva Gen-eva Idol; song, Ladies Chorus; prayer, pray-er, Daughter Alta Hollingshead. Games and dancing under the direction di-rection of Daughter Mary Goodwin were next enjoyed after which the lunch was enjoyed and all departed declaring the county camps must meet often. |
