DE WML FOLLOW HOUR'S MUSICAL PROGRAM BALL STARTS At 9 After long hours of planning and work, members of the American Legion Le-gion are today staking their efforts against whatever the day may bring forth. Interest in the Forty-Niners' celebration cele-bration has been high this year, the American Legion Auxiliary helping in any way possible to make the day a success and business houses about town having offered a long list of prizes to stimulate all persons to participate in the day's tom-foolery. The Americi-.n Legion is offering a prize of ten dollars for the best float or stunt offered in today's afternoon af-ternoon parade by any organization; and a prize of five dollars for the best individual make-up of the day. A committee of three members of the Ladies' Auxiliary will select the prize winners, and mention of same will be made next week. All persons are urged to do their best in 49'er make-up as the prize list is so ex-.ensive ex-.ensive that many people will be the arprised recipients of awards. The parade today is scheduled for 'our o'clock, immediately following an hour's program of music at the Milford Hotel-Hubbell corner.
